New Affirmations

People love to give me money.
I am rich and wonderful.
I am now earning a great big income doing what satisfies me.
Something wonderful is happening to me today--I can feel it.
All my bills are paid up in full and I still have all this money.
My affirmations work for me, whether I believe they will or not.
A lot more money is coming into my life. I deserve it and will use it for my good and others.
All my clients praise me and pay me.
I have a lot of clients.
I am a money magnet.
Money comes to me easily and effortlessly, waking and sleeping.
I am now highly pleasing to myself in other people's presence.
I walk, talk, look, act, think and am rich.
I am a winner--I win often, and I win big.
I now receive large sums of money, just for being me.
I make money easily.
I am rich and getting richer.
My bills are all paid and I have $100,000 or more in the bank.
People pay me well for doing what I love.
I have what I need and what I want.

Spring Cleaning

S - Sweep - Sweep up and throw away your excuses as to why you can't
or won't do something. Stop being the one who merely comments on what
is wrong and start being the one who offers solutions.

P - Polish - Polish your heart with all its unwavering and steadfast
passion and allow it to lead you to unlimited ways of creatively
expressing who you are and what you love.

R - Rinse - Rinse away all of the self-doubt that has long coated your
motivation and become willing to reacquaint yourself with a shiny,
untarnished and larger sense of self.

I - Increase - Increase your circle of influence with those who see
the glass half full - brimming with possibility and who champion you
to do the same.

N - Neaten - Neaten your environment and create a sanctuary that is
pleasing to the eye. You'll feel the difference both physically and
emotionally.

G - Groom - Groom your mind just as you would groom your physical
self. Everyday look into the mirror of your being and adjust your
thoughts, brush away the negativity and begin to consciously apply the
law of attraction for your good.

C - Clear - Clear out the clutter. Take out what you haven't used or
worn in the last year and donate it to a charity. By clearing out the
old, the new can finally come in.

L - Lighten - Lighten up and stop taking yourself and your situation
so seriously. If joy is our birthright, then allow that quality of
being to help lead you down the path of rediscovering sustaining
happiness.

E - Empty - Empty out your bag of regrets and know that this now
moment is the beginning of creating whatever life you desire. What you
choose to focus on today colors and creates your tomorrows.

A - Arrange - Arrange your time so that you have equal parts work and
play. Understand that one isn't more important than the other. Both
play vital and necessary roles in developing an optimum lifestyle.

N - Number - Number your goals and keep them in sight, referring to
them often. When one is accomplished, replace it with another, always
raising the stakes to see just how much good you can embody.

I - Inhabit - Inhabit your days with acts of unconditional love. Make
it your intention to cherish and champion the good of others without
expecting anything in return.

N - Nail - Nail up and complete any wobbly communication and
unfinished business and if it simply isn't possible to take immediate
care of it, then create a plan to do so.

G - Gather - Gather up your friends and family and let them know how
much you appreciate them. Praise their goals, their dreams, their lives.

Syndrome X

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes on March 13, 2007, following an annual exam with my doctor on March 6th. On March 8th, I received a call from my doctor's collegue telling me that my triglycerides were raging out of control (they were 2,380 during a fasting blood test taken on March 6th). I immediately went on 20 mg of Lipitor a day and made a drasctic reduction in dietary fats, especially chocolate, which I ceased eatting immediately.

On March 13th I was notified that I was diabetic and had a follow up appointment with my doctor the following Tuesday, March 20th.

When I received my diagnosis, I immediately began doing research on diabetes and cutting sugars out in addition to fat.

Since then, I have been put on 500 mg of Metformin twice a day, am testing my sugars 6 times a day and have started an excersise program.

My diabetes diet has been evolving since that my first meeting with my doctor after diagnosis. I am on the lookout for low carb recipes. My doctor has me on 60 grams of net carbs a day.

Making My Dream A Reality

Last October I wrote the following:

What I am on this earth to do:

To share my creative vision, honesty and humor with others. To be a lifelong learner, enriching myself while expanding my creative vision, and ways to express that vision, maintaining integrity and stretching myself in order to create humor and art, increase my perceptions and better support myself and others in the pursuit of dreams. To feel the abundance of my life, to be grateful and to use my wealth to improve the lot of others less fortunate than myself. I will appreciate what I have and strive for more.

Where I Live:

I live at the beach in a house that utilizes natural sources for energy, design, decoration and structure. I have indoor and outdoor living with transitions smoothly and with elegance. I have have a place for everything and everything is in its place. I am surrounded by water and sunlight. It is a sanctuary for me and it is welcoming to others. It is a place to relax, to learn, to create, to entertain and to heal.

My Career:

I use my art and writing -- my creative vision--to make enough to live comfortably, and then some. My vision is expanding and growing and my humor and intelligence catch the imaginations of others. I work alone a good deal of the tie, but am open to collaborations when appropriate. My skills as an artist increase, as does the creativity share my own vision.

My Body and Health:

I am strong, healthy, flexible and fit. I sleep well and eat well. I don't smoke and I weigh 120 pounds.

Relationships with Family and Friends:

I have strong and healthy relationships that include humor, support, respect, honesty. My relationships are a system of support and caring and mutual enrichment.

Personal Areas of My Life:

I am always growing and challenging myself as a person. I am a lifelong learner. I am quiet inside and have feelings of gratitude and inner strength. I will continue to learn and be challenged. I am learning new ways to relax and harness my energy.

Communities:

I create my own communities and I am useful to the community of residence where I happen to be at the moment. Communities of friends, colleagues, church communities and communites of residence all play a part in my life. I always seek out those parts of the community that strengthen me, amuse me and make me better. I make a positive difference in any community I am a member of.
